Welke Nederlander kent het nu niet? Speculaas.. Een echt oud Nederlandse koek soort.
Traditioneel wordt speculaas in verschillende voorstellingen gebakken.
Een van die veel gebruikte speculaas vormen is bijvoorbeeld de ‘Oud Hollandsche molen’.
Tja in tijden van crisis is het zelfs bij een geweldig bedrijf als RoboCNC wel eens even rustig.
Stilstand is achteruitgang, en zo begon dan ook het rollenspel…
Ik stuurde mij zelf een mail, en vroeg of ik ook een bedrijfslogo kon frezen in een speculaasplank.
‘Ja natuurlijk kunnen wij dat Robo, dat doe ik zelfs gratis voor jouw !’
En zo geschieden het dus…

3D reliëf is ontworpen door Todd Bailey van www.4m3D.com.
Het 3D CAM pakket dat werd gebruikt is Deskproto van Delft spline systems.
Van software naar freesbank, van freesbank naar speculaasplank…
En van speculaas plank, naar verschrikkelijke trek in koekjes !
De koekjes waren heerlijk !

Thats a fantastic idea ! maybe try the text with a Deskproto 2D toolpath you can project curves onto the surface it will maybe cut quicker if you have not already
Hi, and thanks for the comment and tip. That would indeed be a option when used a single line font. Or even with a filled font if i would be able to make offset vectors from the text. I have used such a toolpath last week with DeskProto indeed (preview at facebook). Thanks 😉

It is food grade mineral oil. You can buy it anyplace that sells oil for cutting boards.

Sterker nog ik wou destijds zelfs ook jouw vernoemden in de video, maar ik kon ons mail verkeer nergens meer terug vinden.
Nogmaals ik ben echt heel erg blij met het logo, en gebruik het nu dan ook overal, en dagelijks.
Krijg heel veel positieve reactie’s, en ben zelf ook nog steeds verbaasd over jouw design skill’s !

In de komende weken zal het wellicht nog niet direct lukken.
