Op veler verzoek ben ik naar wat mooie materialen op zoek gegaan voor led bordjes.
Het eerder gegraveerde led bordje voor PS3Sense maakte een hoop bezoekers enthousiast.
Het nieuwe model is voorzien van een aluminium profiel / voet.
Deze is 3cm breed en kan dus staand maar ook hangend worden gebruikt.
In het profiel is een led-strip geplaatst en kan in diverse kleuren worden geleverd.
Op de onderstaande foto’s is te zien dat er verschillende graveer / frees stijlen te gebruiken zijn.
Normaal graveren (plat), V-groef graveren, en profiel graveren… Maar zelfs volledig 3D is mogelijk.

Aluminum LED profile can be purchased in lengths to 1 meter.

[..YouTube..] Well There are a lot of different ones that could do this, in this case its Artcam.Cheaper would be Vectric V-carve pro? or aspire i think..

[..YouTube..] Artcam is the design software and can be saved with the art extension.But after processing? by artcam there is a text file made called Gcode that has all the coordinates for the machine controller (Mach3)

[..YouTube..] @karandex Sorry i do not remember for this video, and i used different speeds an bits for the different engravings.Take a look at? some other video’s as they might answer your questions…Also have a look at my website with some more info…flat engravings would indeed be done by straight edge solid carbide bits (1 flute).Use ‘climb milling’ and cool it with air (the blue hose in the vid)

[..YouTube..] @sukalo Hi Sukalo,Well at the time of this video i used a cheap? ‘home depot’compressor….This works fine, but every 3minutes it switches on, and makes a horrible sound.Now i have a 200l/min compressor with a 200l tank.But the best is it is a 2 cilinder, and therfor it makes not much noise (you could just speak to each other)
@sukalo Hi Sukalo, Well at the time of this video i used a cheap ‘home depot’compressor…. This works fine, but every 3minutes it switches on, and makes a horrible sound. Now i have a 200l/min compressor with a 200l tank. But the best is it is a 2 cilinder, and therfor it makes not much noise (you could just speak to each other)

Great work. Just a question…what stepover did you use on the flat engraving? Looks like I can`t get it right.
